Darling historic town in a stunning location and beautiful in autumn. Brilliant bike paths and walking trails of all grades. We did the Bush creek trail this time which is really beautiful and not difficult but is shared with mountain bike riders. Great outdoor adventures nearby. Close to fabulous hikes near Queenstown and beyond. Good pubs and restaurants. Got to love the Provisions cafe and yummy food. Check out the new Ayrburn resort. Beautiful gardens, great coffee and food if weirdly not unlike the Truman show! Expensive area though.

Arrowtown is a nice to walk around, and good for photography. I came for the fall foliage and it was better than expected. The trees have different shades of color at different times of the day. If you a photographer, this is a heaven. Take the offbeat track away from the Main Street and other tourists, walk down the creek and you will be delighted at what you see. I tried 2 restaurants - Milhouse and Mosa. Milhouse is strongly recommended for its food and service. The atmosphere is great. Wine list is good too. I will not recommend Mosa regardless the reviews on Google. The place is a bit pricy and service is a little rude.

Arrowtown is an amazing historic town. The trees were turning gold autumn colours & looking fantastic! The museum right in town is a must see - so much history & exhibits extremely well put together. A walk along the river & also a visit to the old Chinese village nearby is very interesting. The new Ayrburn area of restaurants & bars only 5 mins out of town is so beautifully landscaped & the buildings have great character. We only had coffee there but I highly recommend having lunch or dinner there. It is an outstanding development & will only get better as they add more. You cannot miss visiting Arrowtown!

Arrowtown is so much quieter than Queenstown and has a charm of its own. You can however catch a bus over to Queenstown for the day for a small fare. Great central place to stay if you wish to explore the region i.e. vineyards, golf courses, walks along the river and historical sites to explore.

The house was spacious., very comfortable, and well appointed. It had a washer and dryer. There's also a garage and a nice driveway to park in. It was located in a quiet area. The house was just a few minutes drive to Arrowtown where there were plenty of restaurants, shopping, and historical sites. We have no complaints. Everything was good! It was a nice place to stay!

An interesting town with a great museum and lots of information about the goldrush. We only stayed for one night. Good selection of pubs and restaurants in the town. A big public car park with free parking for 24 hours. Nice river walk.
