Orewa is easy to find and has excellent choice for food - the whole area is well laid out and in a wonderful setting of mature trees, parks, walkways, convenient access to beach and parking. The shops are interesting and locals friendly. Just feels like a peaceful easy place to be.

A friendly small town but packed full of different cafes and restaurants. I know it can get very busy during the peak summer months but late summer seems to be a good time to visit. Busy but not crowded.

The beach was within walking distance and it was a nice sandy very clean beach. There was plenty of free parking for people travelling or those living further away. You have everything you need all in walking distance, so no need for a car if you are staying locally. There are plenty of good restaurants and cafes. Most properties had a sea view, and if you are staying in one of the hotels you will see an amazing sunset.

Very central to Red Beach, Whangaparoua, Silverdale, Warkworth, Brown Bay. 35 mins to Auckland CBD We enjoyed op shopping. We did a bush walk at Shakespear regional park. Pest fenced. Ferry to Kawau Island and bush walk and swim. We walked the beach

Orewa is amazing. We used to live nearby. Absolutely a place to stay for any age. Now there's lots of pavement dining and great restaurants and bars. The beach is stunning. Lots of locals and visitors walk up and down the beach. Great for dog-walking, but be aware of when you keep your dog on a lead.
